2121 AN ACT CONCERNING POST -ELECTION AUDITS.
2222 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2323 Assembly convened:

2525 That section 9-320f of the general statutes be amended to require 1
2626 that, of the five per cent of the voting districts of the state randomly 2
2727 selected for audit, the Secretary of the State shall ensure that any 3
2828 voting district in which the difference in votes between the candidates 4
2929 for an office is below a certain threshold is included in such five per 5
3030 cent, provided no voting district that has an office subject to a 6
3131 recanvass shall be so included. 7
3232 Statement of Purpose:
3333 To require the Secretary of the State to include voting districts that
3434 have close elections, but not close enough to trigger recanvasses, in the
3535 five per cent of districts state-wide selected for audit.
