AN ACT CONCERNING THE PALLIATIVE AND RECREATIONAL USE 
OF MARIJUANA. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That title 12 and chapter 420f of the general statutes be amended to 1 
provide for changes to the palliative use of marijuana program, 2 
including, but not limited to, an exemption for medical marijuana from 3 
the sales tax, the addition of chronic pain as a qualifying condition, the 4 
reduction in the annual medical marijuana patient fee to fifty dollars, 5 
the elimination of the twenty-five-dollar  registration fee for veterans 6 
who have a primary caregiver and that the general statutes be 7 
amended to establish, tax and regulate a recreational use of marijuana 8 
program for adults twenty-one years of age or older. 9 
Statement of Purpose:   
To amend the palliative marijuana program and to establish and 
regulate a recreational use of marijuana program.
