912 AN ACT REQUIRING A FEASIBILITY STUDY ON THE
1013 ESTABLISHMENT OF AN ENVIRONMENTAL AGRICULTURAL
1114 PROGRAM AT PUBLIC IN STITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION.
1215 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
1316 Assembly convened:

15-Section 1. (Effective July 1, 2019) The Board of Regents for Higher
16-Education and the Board of Trustees of The University of Connecticut
17-shall each study the feasibility of establishing an environmental
18-agricultural program at the constituent units within each board's
19-jurisdiction, including, but not limited to, certificate or degree
20-programs related to environmental agriculture, organic agriculture or
21-greenhouse construction. Not later than January 1, 2020, the presidents
22-of the Board of Regents for Higher Education and The University of
23-Connecticut shall each report, in accordance with the provisions of
24-section 11-4a of the general statutes, to the joint standing committee of
25-the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to higher
26-education and employment advancement on the findings of such
27-study.
