AN ACT REQUIRING LEGISLATIVE APPROVAL FOR THE MERGER
OR CLOSURE OF THE REGIONAL COMMUNITY -TECHNICAL
COLLEGES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 10a-6 of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
approval of the General Assembly for any action of the Board of 2
Regents for Higher Education that merges or closes any institutions in 3
the regional community-technical college system. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To require legislative approval for the merger or closure of any
regional community-technical college.
