AN ACT AUTHORIZING BONDS OF THE STATE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A WOMEN'S HALFWAY HOUSE IN NEW HAVEN. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the 1 issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the 2 general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate 3 five hundred thousand dollars, the proceeds of which shall be used by 4 the Department of Economic and Community Development for the 5 purpose of providing a grant-in-aid to the city of New Haven for the 6 development of a women's halfway house in New Haven for women 7 transitioning back into the community from incarceration. 8 Statement of Purpose: To provide funding for the development of a women's halfway house in New Haven.
