914 AN ACT CONCERNING A COMMUNITY OMBUDSMAN.
1015 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
1116 Assembly convened:

13-Section 1. (Effective from passage) The State Ombudsman, appointed
14-pursuant to section 17a-405 of the general statutes, and the
15-Commissioner of Social Services shall develop a Community
16-Ombudsman program to investigate complaints concerning care
17-received by recipients of home and community -based services
18-administered by the Department of Social Services. Not later than
19-January 1, 2020, the State Ombudsman and the Commissioner of Social
20-Services shall submit a report to the joint standing committees of the
21-General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to aging and
22-human services identifying: (1) The persons to be served in the
23-Community Ombudsman program, (2) the types of services to be
24-offered under such program, and (3) appropriations needed to staff the
25-Community Ombudsman program.
