1019 AN ACT CONCERNING ME DICAID PAYMENT RATES FOR NURSE -

1221 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
1322 Assembly convened:

15-Section 1. (NEW) (Effective from passage) On and after July 1, 2019, no 1
16-nurse-midwife, licensed pursuant to chapter 377 of the general 2
17-statutes, shall receive a lower Medicaid reimbursement rate than any 3
18-obstetrician-gynecologist, licensed pursuant to chapter 370 of the 4
19-general statutes, for performing the same service or procedure as such 5
20-obstetrician-gynecologist. The Commissioner of Social Services shall 6
21-adopt or amend regulations necessary to implement the provisions of 7
22-this section and shall seek any federal approval necessary. The 8
