1122 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

14-Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2019) (a) Notwithstanding the
15-provisions of section 10-212a of the general statutes, any student who
16-is six years of age or older may possess and self-apply an over-the-
17-counter sunscreen product while in school prior to engaging in any
18-outdoor activity, provided a written authorization signed by the
19-student's parent or guardian is submitted to the school nurse.
20-(b) Each local and regional board of education may adopt policies
21-and procedures determined to be necessary by such board to carry out
22-the provisions of subsection (a) of this section. If and when a board
23-adopts such policies and procedures, the self-application of over-the-
24-counter sunscreen products by students in each school under the
25-jurisdiction of the board shall be in accordance with such policies and
26-procedures.
