AN ACT AUTHORIZING C ERTAIN PERSONS TO CARRY HAN DGUNS
IN STATE PARKS AND STATE FORESTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2019) The Department of 1
Energy and Environmental Protection shall permit any person who 2
holds a valid permit to carry a pistol or revolver issued pursuant to 3
subsection (b) of section 29-28 of the general statutes to carry a pistol or 4
revolver covered by such permit in any state park or state forest. 5
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:
Section 1 October 1, 2019 New section
Statement of Purpose:
To allow persons to carry handguns in state parks and state forests for
the purpose of self-defense.
