| 26 | 26 | | Section 1. (Effective July 1, 2019) The Office of Higher Education, in 1 |

| 27 | 27 | | collaboration with the Department of Housing and the governing 2 |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | boards of each institution of higher education in the state, shall study 3 |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | the rate of homelessness among students enrolled in institutions of 4 |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | higher education in the state and the feasibility of establishing a 5 |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | program to distribute housing vouchers for on-campus or off-campus 6 |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | housing to homeless students to alleviate homelessness in the student 7 |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | population. Such study shall include, but need not be limited to, 8 |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | strategies to fund such program for housing vouchers. On or before 9 |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | January 1, 2020, the executive director of the Office of Higher 10 |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | Education shall report, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-11 |

| 37 | 37 | | 4a of the general statutes, on the findings of such study to the joint 12 |

| 38 | 38 | | standing committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of 13 |
