2120 AN ACT ESTABLISHING A TASK FORCE TO STUDY METHODS OF
2221 DEVELOPING, EXPANDIN G AND IMPROVING THE INSURANCE
2322 INDUSTRY WORKFORCE I N THIS STATE.
2423 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

2726 Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) There is established a task force 1
2827 to study and develop strategies to develop, expand and improve the 2
2928 insurance industry workforce in this state. Such study shall include, 3
3029 but need not be limited to, the possible implementation of a pilot 4
3130 program to encourage the insurance industry to implement income-5
3231 sharing agreements to fund a debt-free workforce pipeline. 6
3332 (b) The task force shall consist of the following members: 7
3433 (1) Two appointed by the speaker of the House of Representatives; 8
3534 (2) Two appointed by the president pro tempore of the Senate; 9
3635 (3) One appointed by the majority leader of the House of 10

6058 (c) Any member of the task force appointed under subdivision (1), 28
6159 (2), (3), (4), (5) or (6) of subsection (b) of this section may be a member 29
6260 of the General Assembly. 30
6361 (d) All appointments to the task force shall be made not later than 31
6462 thirty days after the effective date of this section. Any vacancy shall be 32
6563 filled by the appointing authority. 33
6664 (e) The speaker of the House of Representatives and the president 34
6765 pro tempore of the Senate shall select the chairpersons of the task force 35
6866 from among the members of the task force. Such chairpersons shall 36

7774 (f) The administrative staff of the joint standing committee of the 39
7875 General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to insurance 40
7976 shall serve as administrative staff of the task force. 41
8077 (g) Not later than January 1, 2020, the task force shall submit a 42
8178 report on its findings and recommendations to the joint standing 43
8279 committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters 44
8380 relating to insurance, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-45
8481 4a of the general statutes. The task force shall terminate on the date 46
8582 that it submits such report or January 1, 2020, whichever is later. 47
