914 AN ACT CONCERNING PA RTICIPATION BY A RESIDENT OF A
1015 NURSING HOME FACILIT Y OR RESIDENTIAL CARE HOM E IN A
1116 RECEIVERSHIP PROCEED ING.
1217 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
1318 Assembly convened:

15-Section 1. Subsection (b) of section 19a-542 of the general statutes is
16-repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective July
17-1, 2019):
18-(b) A resident of a nursing home facility or residential care home for
19-which an application to appoint a receiver has been filed or such
20-resident's legally liable relative, conservator or guardian may appear
21-as a party to the proceedings. The court shall permit a resident of a
22-nursing home facility or residential care home that is the subject of an
23-application for receivership, or the resident's legally liable relative,
24-conservator or guardian, to be heard at the hearing on the application
25-for receivership without having to file an appearance as a party.
