20	19		AN ACT CONCERNING EX PENDITURES FOR FRINGE BENEFITS.
21	20		Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
22	21		Assembly convened:

24	23		Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Comptroller shall conduct a 1
25	24		review of expenditures for fringe benefits during the biennium ending 2
26	25		June 30, 2019, and identify opportunities to reduce such expenditures 3
27	26		for the constituent units of the state system of public higher education, 4
28	27		including The University of Connecticut Health Center, the 5
29	28		Department of Transportation, the Connecticut Airport Authority and 6
30	29		resident state troopers. Not later than February 1, 2020, the 7
31	30		Comptroller shall submit, in accordance with section 11-4a of the 8
32	31		general statutes, the results of its review and any recommendations for 9
33	32		the reduction of such expenditures to the joint standing committee of 10
34	33		the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to 11
35	34		appropriations and the budgets of state agencies. 12
