15+LAND IN THE TOWN OF HAMDEN.
1116 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

14-Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) Notwithstanding any provision
15-of the general statutes, and except as provided in subsection (b) of this
16-section, the Commissioner of Administrative Services, on behalf of the
17-Commissioner of Children and Families, shall convey to the town of
18-Hamden a parcel of land located in the town of Hamden, and any
19-improvements on said parcel, for the sum of one million seven
20-hundred eight thousand three hundred dollars, plus the administrative
21-costs of making such conveyance. Said parcel of land has an area of
22-approximately 50.29 acres and contains the facility formerly known as
23-High Meadows, located at 825 Hartford Turnpike in the town of
24-Hamden, and is described in a warranty deed dated January 15, 1951,
25-and recorded in Volume 297 at pages 417 and 418 of the town of
26-Hamden Land Records. The conveyance shall be subject to the
27-approval of the State Properties Review Board.
28-(b) If the Commissioner of Administrative Services does not convey
29-said parcel of land and improvements by June 30, 2021, the parcel and
30-improvements shall not be conveyed under this section, except the
31-town of Hamden may request, and the commissioner may agree, to Substitute Senate Bill No. 1126

37-state for its actual costs that are attributable to such extension.
38-(c) The State Properties Review Board shall complete its review of
39-the conveyance of said parcel of land and improvements not later than
40-thirty days after it receives a proposed agreement from the
41-Department of Administrative Services. The land and improvements
42-shall remain under the care and control of the state until a conveyance
43-is made in accordance with the provisions of this section. The State
44-Treasurer shall execute and deliver any deed or instrument necessary
45-for a conveyance under this section. The Commissioner of
46-Administrative Services shall have the sole responsibility for all other
47-incidents of such conveyance.
