AN ACT REQUIRING HEA LTH INSURANCE COVERA GE FOR EQUINE
THERAPY FOR VETERANS .
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
Section 1. (NEW) (Effective January 1, 2021) Each individual health 1
insurance policy providing coverage of the type specified in 2
subdivisions (1), (2), (4), (11) and (12) of section 38a-469 of the general 3
statutes delivered, issued for delivery, renewed, amended or continued 4
in this state, shall provide coverage for equine therapy for veterans, as 5
defined in section 27-103 of the general statutes. 6
Sec. 2. (NEW) (Effective January 1, 2021) Each group health insurance 7
policy providing coverage of the type specified in subdivisions (1), (2), 8
(4), (11) and (12) of section 38a-469 of the general statutes delivered, 9
issued for delivery, renewed, amended or continued in this state, shall 10
provide coverage for equine therapy for veterans, as defined in section 11
27-103 of the general statutes. 12
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:
