| 26 | 26 | Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2020) Notwithstanding any 1 | |
| 27 | 27 | provisions of the general statutes and to the extent permissible by 2 | |
| 28 | 28 | federal law, the Commissioner of Veterans Affairs shall provide 3 | |
| 29 | 29 | veterans who do not have available transportation with transportation 4 | |
| 30 | 30 | services to and from medical appointments and hospital visits, which 5 | |
| 31 | 31 | transportation services shall be paid from Medicaid, Medicare and 6 | |
| 32 | 32 | TriCare funds. 7 | |
| 33 | 33 | This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following | |
