| 20 | 20 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General |

| 23 | 23 | | Section 1. Section 20-195ppp of the 2020 supplement to the general 1 |

| 24 | 24 | | statutes is repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof 2 |

| 26 | 26 | | The Department of Public Health may issue a temporary permit to an 4 |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | applicant for licensure as an art therapist who holds a graduate degree 5 |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | in art therapy or a related field. Such temporary permit shall authorize 6 |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | the holder of the temporary permit to practice art therapy under the 7 |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | general supervision of a licensed art therapist at all times during which 8 |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | the holder of the temporary permit performs art therapy. Such 9 |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | temporary permit shall be valid for a period not to exceed [three 10 |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | hundred sixty-five calendar days] two years after the date of attaining 11 |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | such graduate degree and shall not be renewable. No temporary permit 12 |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | shall be issued under this section to any applicant against whom 13 |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | professional disciplinary action is pending or who is the subject of an 14 |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | unresolved complaint in this state or any other state. The commissioner 15 |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | may revoke a temporary permit for good cause, as determined by the 16 Raised Bill No. 387 |
