1919 AN ACT CONCERNING AR T THERAPISTS.
2020 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

2323 Section 1. Section 20-195ppp of the 2020 supplement to the general 1
2424 statutes is repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof 2
2525 (Effective July 1, 2020): 3
2626 The Department of Public Health may issue a temporary permit to an 4
2727 applicant for licensure as an art therapist who holds a graduate degree 5
2828 in art therapy or a related field. Such temporary permit shall authorize 6
2929 the holder of the temporary permit to practice art therapy under the 7
3030 general supervision of a licensed art therapist at all times during which 8
3131 the holder of the temporary permit performs art therapy. Such 9
3232 temporary permit shall be valid for a period not to exceed [three 10
3333 hundred sixty-five calendar days] two years after the date of attaining 11
3434 such graduate degree and shall not be renewable. No temporary permit 12
3535 shall be issued under this section to any applicant against whom 13
3636 professional disciplinary action is pending or who is the subject of an 14
3737 unresolved complaint in this state or any other state. The commissioner 15
3838 may revoke a temporary permit for good cause, as determined by the 16 Raised Bill No. 387

4444 commissioner. The fee for a temporary permit shall be fifty dollars. 17
