AN ACT RESTRICTING REGISTERED SEX OFFENDERS FROM THE
VICINITY OF A SCHOOL BUS STOP.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 969 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit 1
registered sex offenders from being any closer than one hundred yards 2
from any school bus stop one hour prior to or after any scheduled 3
student pick-up or drop-off. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent opportunities for registered sex offenders to engage with
students at school bus stops.
