AN ACT CONCERNING HOLDERS OF COMMERCIAL DRIVER'S LICENSES AND ELIGIBILITY TO PARTICIPATE IN PRETRIAL ALCOHOL EDUCATION PROGRAMS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That subsection (h) of section 54-56g of the general statutes and 1 section 54-56p of the general statutes be amended to permit a holder of 2 commercial driver's licenses who is not transporting merchandise, 3 freight or persons in connection with a business enterprise at the time of 4 the violation to participate in pretrial alcohol education programs. 5 Statement of Purpose: To allow holders of commercial driver's licenses to participate in alcohol education programming under certain circumstances.
