20 | 20 | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General | |
21 | 21 | Assembly convened: | |

23 | 23 | That the general statutes be amended to (1) prohibit any person, local 1 | |
24 | 24 | government or state agency from using a class B firefighting foam that 2 | |
25 | 25 | contains an intentionally added perfluoroalkyl or polyfluoroalkyl 3 | |
26 | 26 | substance in any amount for any purpose, and (2) require the 4 | |
27 | 27 | Department of Public Health to develop and implement a plan for (A) 5 | |
28 | 28 | testing water supply sources, water supplies and bottled water, as 6 | |
29 | 29 | defined in section 21a-150 of the general statutes, for contamination by 7 | |
30 | 30 | perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances, and (B) educating the 8 | |
31 | 31 | public regarding the potential risks of drinking water that has been 9 | |
32 | 32 | contaminated by such substances. 10 | |
