AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE USE OF MILLER TRUSTS TO OBTAIN
MEDICAID ELIGIBILITY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
Commissioner of Social Services to seek federal approval for a Medicaid 2
state plan amendment to allow the use of a qualifying income trust 3
known as a Miller Trust to establish eligibility for Medicaid. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To allow Medicaid applicants to establish eligibility via use of a Miller
Trust.
