AN ACT CONCERNING MEDICAID REIMBURSEMENT FOR MARITAL 
AND FAMILY THERAPISTS PERMITTED TO PRACTICE WITHOUT 
LICENSES DURING A PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require the 1 
Commissioner of Social Services to seek federal approval for a Medicaid 2 
state plan amendment to provide Medicaid reimbursement, to the 3 
extent permissible under federal law, to marital and family therapists 4 
permitted to practice without licenses pursuant to Executive Order 5 
Number 7V of Governor Ned Lamont. 6 
Statement of Purpose:   
To permit Medicaid reimbursement for services provided by marital 
and family therapists permitted to practice without licenses pursuant to 
Executive Order Number 7V of Governor Ned Lamont.
