1818 AN ACT ELIMINATING A COURT'S AUTHORITY TO DEPART FROM
1919 THE MANDATORY MINIMUM SENTENCE FOR THE ILLEGAL
2020 MANUFACTURE, DISTRIBUTION, SALE, PRESCRIPTION OR

2222 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

2525 That section 21a-283a of the general statutes, which permits a court, 1
2626 upon a showing of good cause by the defendant, to depart from the 2
2727 prescribed mandatory minimum sentence relating to the illegal 3
2828 manufacture, distribution, sale, prescription or administration of 4
2929 opioids be repealed. 5
3030 Statement of Purpose:
3131 To repeal section 21a-283a of the general statutes, which permits a court,
