AN ACT CONCERNING ACCESS TO ORIGINAL BIRTH
CERTIFICATES BY ADULT ADOPTED PERSONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to grant access to original birth 1
records to all adopted persons eighteen years of age or older who were 2
born in Connecticut regardless of date of birth. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To grant all Connecticut-born adoptees who are eighteen years of age or
older access to their original birth records.
