AN ACT CONCERNING NEWBORN INFANT HEALTH SCREENING.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require health screening of 1
newborn infants not earlier than twenty-four hours after and not later 2
than forty-eight hours after the birth of such infant and to add various 3
metabolic and genetic disorders to the newborn infant screening panel. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To establish additional newborn infant health screening requirements.
