AN ACT CONCERNING THE DIVERSION OF FOOD WASTE FROM
THE SOLID WASTE STREAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to create incentives for a higher 1
percentage of food waste to be diverted from the solid waste stream. 2
Statement of Purpose:
To encourage a reduction in the amount of trash generated and reduce
town costs for garbage disposal.
