AN ACT RESTRICTING THE USE OF CERTAIN STATE LANDS 
DURING THE HUNTING SEASON AND REQUIRING THE USE OF 
CERTAIN AMOUNTS OF FLUORESCENT ORANGE CLOTHING BY 
PERSONS ON SUCH STATE LANDS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to restrict the use of certain 1 
state lands that are available for firearms and muzzleloader hunting 2 
purposes during such hunting season to only such hunting. 3 
Furthermore, all persons present on state lands that are available for 4 
firearms or muzzleloader hunting, during the firearms and 5 
muzzleloader season, shall be required to wear four hundred square 6 
inches of fluorescent orange clothing above the waist that is visible from 7 
all sides.8 
Statement of Purpose:   
To provide firearms and muzzleloader permittees with adequate space 
to perform hunting on state lands used for such purposes and to ensure 
the safety of all persons present on such state lands during such hunting 
season.
