AN ACT REQUIRING MORTGAGE LENDERS AND MORTGAGE
SERVICERS TO ACCEPT AND APPLY PARTIAL MORTGAGE
PAYMENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 36a of the general statutes be amended to require mortgage 1
lenders and mortgage servicers to accept and apply partial mortgage 2
payments made by a mortgagor. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent mortgage lenders and mortgage servicers from refusing to
accept and apply partial mortgage payments.
