AN ACT ESTABLISHING A WORKING GROUP TO REVIEW THE
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT REQUIREMENTS FOR
EDUCATORS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to establish a working group to 1
review and evaluate the professional development requirements for 2
educators and to make recommendations for streamlining or waiving 3
such requirements. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To discover ways to provide greater flexibility to boards of education in
determining the optimal professional development options based on the
particular needs of the school district.
