AN ACT CONCERNING EMERGENCY ACTION PLANS FOR
INTERSCHOLASTIC AND INTRAMURAL ATHLETIC EVENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 170 of the general statutes be amended to require local 1
and regional boards of education, in consultation with local emergency 2
medical services providers and allied health professionals, to develop 3
and implement emergency action plans for responding to serious and 4
life-threatening sports-related injuries that occur during interscholastic 5
and intramural athletic events. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To require the development and implementation of emergency action
plans for interscholastic and intramural athletic events.
