AN ACT CONCERNING THE DISPLAY OF THE CONSTITUTION OF 
THE UNITED STATES FOR STUDENTS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS 
THROUGHOUT THE STATE. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That section 10-230 of the general statutes be amended to require local 1 
and regional boards of education to display a copy of the Constitution 2 
of the United States in a conspicuous location, visible to all students, in 3 
each school under the jurisdiction of such board, and that title 10 of the 4 
general statutes be amended to provide funding to any board of 5 
education that does not have the resources to display a copy of the 6 
Constitution of the United States for its students. 7 
Statement of Purpose:   
To ensure that students are able to learn about the foundation of the 
rights and liberties of all citizens of the United States of America.
