AN ACT REQUIRING THE SEPARATION OF THE PUBLIC UTILITIES
REGULATORY AUTHORITY FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to separate the functions of the 1
Public Utilities Regulatory Authority from the functions of the 2
Department of Environmental Protection. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To restructure the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority as an
independent governmental entity.
