AN ACT ELIMINATING THE ESTATE AND GIFT TAXES AND
EXEMPTING SOCIAL SECURITY, PENSION AND ANNUITY INCOME
FROM THE PERSONAL INCOME TAX.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 229 of the general statutes be amended to eliminate the 1
estate and gift taxes and exempt from the personal income tax all Social 2
Security income and income from pensions and annuities. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To eliminate the estate and gift taxes and exempt from the personal
income tax all Social Security income and income from pensions and
annuities.
