AN ACT EXPANDING ACCESS TO IN -HOME COUNSELING.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 17b-242 of the general statutes be amended to provide 1
Medicaid reimbursement to home health care agencies for in-home 2
behavioral, mental health and other counseling to Medicaid recipients 3
provided by social workers employed by such agencies. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce barriers to outpatient counseling facing persons who lack
transportation or who have conditions preventing travel by providing
Medicaid reimbursement for in-home counseling provided by social
workers employed by home health care agencies.
