AN ACT PROMOTING THE COMPOSTING OF FOOD WASTE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of 1
Agriculture to establish a public awareness campaign on the 2
composting of food waste and to study methods for the diversion of 3
food waste from the solid waste stream. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To promote the composting of food waste and alternate methods of
disposing of such waste.
