AN ACT CONCERNING REMOTE PERFORMANCE OF A NOTARIAL
ACT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to permit the remote 1
notarization of documents by a notary public or a commissioner of the 2
Superior Court using an electronic device or process, provided the 3
notary or commissioner of the Superior Court is able to simultaneously 4
communicate by sight and sound with the person requesting the 5
notarial act. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To permit the remote performance of any notarial act.
