AN ACT ESTABLISHING A TASK FORCE TO PROTECT SENIOR
CITIZENS FROM FRAUD.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 17a of the general statutes be amended to establish a task 1
force to study ways to protect senior citizens against fraud, including, 2
but not limited to, evaluating whether persons offering planning advice 3
to Medicaid applicants should be required to be elder law attorneys 4
admitted to the bar pursuant to section 51-80 of the general statutes. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To establish a task force to study and make recommendations
concerning issues related to protecting seniors from fraud.
