AN ACT CONCERNING LOCAL COSTS OF ADMINISTERING
ELECTIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to provide that, in each year in 1
which the state imposes a new mandate on municipalities related to the 2
administration of elections, the state shall appropriate funds sufficient 3
to reimburse municipalities for the cost of undertaking such mandate. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To require the state to reimburse municipalities for the costs of any new
mandate imposed by the state on such municipalities related to the
administration of elections.
