AN ACT PROHIBITING HIGH-FREQUENCY COMMERCIAL SEISMIC
SURVEYING IN LONG ISLAND SOUND IN CONNECTION WITH GAS
AND OIL EXPLORATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit the practice of high-1
frequency commercial seismic surveying in Long Island Sound in 2
connection with gas and oil exploration. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To protect marine mammals, eco-tourism and fishing industries.
