AN ACT CONCERNING ESSENTIAL CAREGIVERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to define essential caregivers 1
and establish the right of a long-term care facility resident to receive care 2
from an essential caregiver, including, but not limited to, during periods 3
when restrictions on regular visitation apply at such facilities. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To support the mental health of senior citizens and others who reside in
long-term care facilities and avert the devastating effects of isolation on
such residents.
