| 22 | 22 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General |

| 23 | 23 | | Assembly convened: |

| 25 | 25 | | That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to: (1) Require health 1 |

| 26 | 26 | | insurance coverage, without any out-of-pocket expense, for (A) 2 |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | diagnostic and screening mammograms, breast ultrasounds and 3 |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | magnetic resonance imaging of breasts for all insureds, (B) breast 4 |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | biopsies for all insureds, (C) prophylactic mastectomies and breast 5 |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | reconstruction surgery for all insureds who have the harmful variant of 6 |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | breast cancer gene one (BRCA1), breast cancer gene two (BRCA2) or any 7 |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | similar gene variant that materially increases breast cancer risk, (D) 8 |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | breast reconstruction surgery for all insureds who have undergone a 9 |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | mastectomy, (E) breast cancer detection and diagnosis for all insureds 10 |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | who have been treated for a childhood cancer and received radiation 11 |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | treatment directed at the chest as part of the treatment for such cancer, 12 |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | (F) breast cancer screenings for transgender insureds undergoing 13 |

| 38 | 38 | | hormone therapy, (G) a baseline mammogram, and diagnostic and 14 |

| 49 | 49 | | age; and (2) establish a program to provide outreach to women of color, 21 |

| 50 | 50 | | including, but not limited to, young women of color, regarding the 22 |
|---|
| 51 | 51 | | importance of breast health and early breast cancer detection. 23 |

| 53 | 53 | | To: (1) Expand required health insurance coverage for benefits related |
|---|
| 54 | 54 | | to breast cancer; and (2) establish a program to provide outreach to |

|---|
