AN ACT CONCERNING POLICE VERIFICATION OF REGISTERED
SEXUAL OFFENDERS' ADDRESSES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 969 of the general statutes concerning police verification 1
of registered sexual offenders' addresses be amended to require a 2
verification of an offender's physical address instead of mailing address, 3
to verify compliance with required setbacks and to ensure that the 4
proper chief elected official is notified of such registered sexual 5
offender's location. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that registered sexual offenders are compliant with statutory
setbacks and that the officials of the proper municipality are notified
where the registered sexual offenders live.
