Explanation 
The bill results in a cost of up to $65,000 in FY 22 and up to $100,000 
in FY 23 to the State Department of Education (SDE) associated with 
developing, administering, and reporting an adverse childhood 
experiences pilot program. The costs to SDE are based on the 
development of similar survey-related pilot programs and consist of 
up to $15,000 for survey development and up to $50,000 for the 
training of SDE staff training and local and regional school district 
personnel (including substitute teacher time). Both the development 
and training costs are one-time costs, incurred in FY 22. Up to an 
additional $100,000 cost will be incurred in FY 23 for survey 
administration and reporting materials, staff time, and analysis of the 
collected data.
