AN ACT PROHIBITING AN UNAUTHORIZED PELVIC EXAMINATION 
ON A FEMALE PATIENT WHO IS UNDER DEEP SEDATION OR 
ANESTHESIA OR UNCONSCIOUS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit anyone from 1 
performing a pelvic examination on a woman who has been 2 
administered deep sedation or general anesthesia without the woman's 3 
prior knowledge of and consent for such examination.  4 
Statement of Purpose:   
To prevent unauthorized pelvic examinations on women who have 
been administered deep sedation or anesthesia or who are unconscious.
