AN ACT CONCERNING INTIMIDATION ON ACCOUNT OF
OCCUPATION AS A POLICE OFFICER.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That sections 53a-181i to 53a-181l, inclusive, of the general statutes, 1
concerning the crime of intimidation based on bigotry or bias, be 2
amended to make it a violation for a person, with intent to intimidate or 3
harass another person because of the actual or perceived occupation of 4
such person as a police officer, to assault, threaten or damage the 5
property of such other person. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To increase the penalty for intimidating or harassing a police officer.
