AN ACT AUTHORIZING REMOTE LEARNING SCHOOL SESSIONS TO
COUNT TOWARD THE ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY SCHOOL DAYS
REQUIREMENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:

That section 10-15 of the general statutes be amended to permit a local 1
or regional board of education to include remote learning school 2
sessions to count toward the requirement of one hundred eighty days of 3
actual school sessions during each school year, provided such board 4
adopts a policy for what constitutes student attendance during a remote 5
learning school session. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To create uniformity across all school districts as to remote learning
sessions, incentivize students to log-in to remote learning and to
support public health by not penalizing students who stay home when
not feeling well.
