2121 AN ACT ESTABLISHING A TASK FORCE TO STUDY THE
2222 EXPANSION OF AFFORDABLE AND QUALITY CHILD CARE.
2323 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2424 Assembly convened:

2626 That the general statutes be amended to establish a task force to study 1
2727 and make recommendations concerning issues relating to the expansion 2
2828 of affordable, quality child care in the state, such as (1) lost labor market 3
2929 participation due to the shortage of affordable child care, (2) the cost of 4
3030 providing high-quality child care, (3) the salaries of providers of child 5
3131 care and early childhood educators, (4) the cost of expanding or 6
3232 increasing child care subsidies, (5) the causes and factors that limit the 7
3333 supply of child care, (6) the types of child care that are most needed, (7) 8
3434 how these issues have been addressed in other states and countries, and 9
3535 (8) how child care systems have been financed in the state. 10
