26 | 26 | That the general statutes be amended to establish a task force to study 1 | |
27 | 27 | and make recommendations concerning issues relating to the expansion 2 | |
28 | 28 | of affordable, quality child care in the state, such as (1) lost labor market 3 | |
29 | 29 | participation due to the shortage of affordable child care, (2) the cost of 4 | |
30 | 30 | providing high-quality child care, (3) the salaries of providers of child 5 | |
31 | 31 | care and early childhood educators, (4) the cost of expanding or 6 | |
32 | 32 | increasing child care subsidies, (5) the causes and factors that limit the 7 | |
33 | 33 | supply of child care, (6) the types of child care that are most needed, (7) 8 | |
34 | 34 | how these issues have been addressed in other states and countries, and 9 | |
35 | 35 | (8) how child care systems have been financed in the state. 10 | |
