1818 AN ACT CONCERNING AN AUDIT OF K -12 REMOTE LEARNING.
1919 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2020 Assembly convened:

2222 That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
2323 Department of Education to conduct a comprehensive audit of the 2
2424 provision of remote learning by school districts in the state, and that 3
2525 such audit will (1) examine the efficacy of remote learning and hybrid 4
2626 learning and the potential to leverage technology for teaching in other 5
2727 scenarios and rethinking the delivery of instruction, (2) identify a 6
2828 system of metrics to hold districts accountable for remote learning 7
2929 access and equity, and (3) review and make recommendations 8
3030 regarding ongoing public education requirements, including what 9
3131 defines a "school day", by aligning technology and how remote 10
3232 instruction may be optimally integrated into the program of study. 11
3333 Statement of Purpose:
3434 To conduct an audit of remote learning to better understand and
3535 provide a thoughtful response to the challenges and opportunities
3636 presented by the design and delivery of remote and hybrid learning in
3737 public school.
