1818 AN ACT CONCERNING THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROTOCOLS TO
1919 PREVENT THE TRANSMISSION OF INFECTIOUS AND
2020 COMMUNICABLE DISEASES IN SCHOOLS DURING A PUBLIC
2121 HEALTH EMERGENCY.
2222 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2323 Assembly convened:

2525 That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to require, during a 1
2626 declaration of a public health or civil preparedness emergency by the 2
2727 Governor, the Commissioner of Education to (1) develop and 3
2828 implement, in conjunction with the Commissioner of Public Health and 4
2929 the Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management, state-wide 5
3030 protocols that are designed to prevent the transmission of infectious or 6
3131 communicable diseases in school buildings, and such protocols shall 7
3232 include, but need not be limited to, the cleaning of school buildings and 8
3333 the upgrading or retro-commissioning of heating, ventilation and air 9
3434 conditioning projects, and (2) apply to the United States Department of 10
3535 Education for a waiver from federal student assessment requirements. 11 Proposed Bill No. 5775
