AN ACT CONCERNING THE CREATION OF A TRANSITION 
PROGRAM FOR PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WHO WANT TO 
ENROLL IN A TECHNICAL EDUCATION AND CAREER SCHOOL. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That part VI of chapter 164 of the general statutes be amended to 1 
create a program to assist students enrolled in grades ten or eleven in a 2 
public school to transition to enrollment in a technical education and 3 
career school, and that such transition shall include coursework and 4 
work experience in a trade chosen by such students and occur during 5 
the summer prior to enrollment in a technical education and career 6 
school. 7 
Statement of Purpose:   
To create a bridge program for public high school students to transition 
to the Technical Education and Career School System from the public 
school system.
